I bought the new lifehouse album last night. Entitled 'Smoke and Mirrors', it is possibly the bands greatest effort yet in terms of an entire album. There is barely a dull moment on the album, instead of just following the traditional pattern and producing a sound which is effectivly the same as what has gone before, Jason Wade has really messed around with his normal sensibilities. That doesn't mean what is good about Lifehouse has been left behind. Not at all ! What they prove on this record but is that they asre extremely flexible in what kinda music they can perform. At some points it actually seems as if Jason is channeling Bob Dylan. You really have to hear the tracks to get what i mean, but it's quite extraordinary. It even has a live in studio recording, of the song 'Everything' which in my humble opinion is one of the single greatest songs ever written !
So yeah, i love it ! If you can i'd recommend anybody reading this to go buy it, atleast listen to a few tracks. Go for it, you'll appreciate it :)
